No 9: Wheatgrass Juice
Maybe people will be asking what’s wheatgrass juice for? Well wheatgrass juice is an effective healer because it contains all mineral know to man, and vitamins A, B-complex, C, E, I and K. It is extremely rich in protein, and contains 17 amino acids, the building blocks of protein.
A quick rinse and spit with this chlorophyll-rich liquid helps prohibit bacteria growth and ease throat pain. Just held in the mouth for five minutes or so, wheatgrass juice is said to help revitalize weakened gums and stop toothache pain.
No 10: Quit Smoking
Do not smoke or use other tobacco products and avoid secondhand smoke. Inhaling smoke from cigarettes, cigars, or pipes can cause a dry, irritated, and swollen throat, in addition to a cough, which can also irritate the throat. The chemicals from the smoke irritate the tissues, and the heat generated by these smoked tobacco products also leads to a sore throat. Same things go to secondhand smoke.
No 11: Prevent Dehydration
Fluids may help thin secretions and soothe an irritated throat. Hot fluids, such as tea or soup, may help decrease throat irritation. This keeps your mucous membranes moist and better able to combat bacteria and irritants like allergens, and makes your body better able to fight back against other cold symptoms. Cold ice water can help soothe the throat, as can hot beverages. Avoid alcohol and caffeinated drinks such as coffee or colas, because they can dehydrate you.
No 12: Gargle with Baking Soda
Baking soda is an acid neutralizer, it can create an environment in the throat that is inhospitable to yeasts and other organisms in the throat.
Baking soda, or sodium bicarbonate, also tends to work well as a sore throat-relieving gargle.
Mix 1 to 2 teaspoons of baking soda in 1 cup of water and gargle for at least 30 seconds. Like a salt gargle, repeat a baking soda gargle once per hour.
You will also want to avoid drinking this mixture, since too much acid-neutralizing substance in the stomach can sometimes lead to an uncomfortable increase in stomach.
Well if above remedies doesn’t helps or fail you, or your sore throat lasts more than 48 hours, try to seek for a doctor as you may have a bacterial infection.
